Nippon Sōda (jap. ζ—₯ζœ¬ζ›Ήι”ζ ͺ式会瀾, Nippon Sōda kabushiki kaisha, engl. Nippon Soda Co. Ltd., kurz: Nissō (ζ—₯ζ›Ή)) ist ein japanisches Chemieunternehmen.

Das Unternehmen begann 1920 mit der Natriumhydroxid-Herstellung per Chloralkali-Elektrolyse.cite-ref-history-1-1[1] Heute besitzt Nippon Sōda Natriumcarbonat-Werke in Nihongi (Jōetsu), Takaoka, Mizushima (Kurashiki) und Chiba (Ichihara). Nippon Sōda stellt auch Phosphoroxychlorid, Calciumhypochlorit und den umstrittenen Thermopapier-Entwickler D-8 her.cite-ref-4[4] Zu den Produkten gehΓΆren außerdem Polybutadien-Γ–le, die Fungizide Iminoctadin-triacetat (Befran), Thiophanat-methyl (Topsin-M) und Cyflufenamid (Vegas) sowie die Insektizide Acetamiprid (Mospilan), Tebufenozid (Romdan) und das Akarizid Hexythiazox (Nissorun).cite-ref-5[3.1]cite-ref-6[5] Die DΓΌsseldorfer Tochtergesellschaft Nisso Chemical Europe ist fΓΌr den Pflanzenschutzmittelvertrieb in der EU zustΓ€ndig.

Nippon Sōda bildete das Kernunternehmen des nach dem Krieg zerschlagenen Nissō-Konzerns.

2011 wurde die franzΓΆsische Alkaline S.A.S. mit ihrer Tochtergesellschaft MΓ©taux SpΓ©ciaux (MSSA) ΓΌbernommen.cite-ref-7[6]
